Fox & Home is a business that specializes in selling classic and vintage pieces for one’s home. Their selection ranges from anything that could be found in a household, such as tables of any size, nightstands, decorations and offer other services as well including furniture restorations and clothing consignment. As for the logo, the owners wanted a mark that was more modern, but also find a way to maintain a more traditional appeal to fit with their business model of selling various vintage pieces. Given their store being located in historic Downtown Algonquin and close to the Fox River itself, a fox was chosen as the main glyph for the mark itself in combination with Futurist typography, providing an interesting contrast that portrayed the owners’ initial wishes: “Although time is always moving forward, we want to maintain what it means to be part of the community here in Algonquin and show that our roots here will never break.”
